100 Sights to See at the Faire

Game ID: GID0003401

Description

Publisher Blurb:

This is a collection of 100 different encounters and stalls that could be found at a village or small town faire. There is an emphasis on small stalls selling crafted goods, some travelling vendors and competitions and sideshows to visit or take part in. There are a few entertainers, but for a full selection of such, see 100 Fantasy Entertainers and Artists to See on the Street. Some of what's available to see and do is useful, some is potentially unpleasant or could cause an injury and some may be a potential source of adventure hooks.

Here are some sample results:
Sheep shearing contest in which competitors have to shear a sheep as quickly and as accurately as they can. The area around is filled with baaing and small tufts of wool blow on the breeze.

Shrine to a harvest deity with a small ceremony currently underway.

Small, fenced arena where contestants attempt to catch chickens that have been released. Spectators find the antics of the competitors highly amusing.

Shy in which the competitor has to knock down bottles by throwing a bean bag at them to win a prize. One competitor has just walked away with a prize. However, they are an accomplice of the person running the stall; one bottle is rigged so that it will only fall down if the stall owner triggers a mechanism. The accomplice competes every so often to make it look possible to win.

Sideshow tent that advertises a freakshow inside. It costs to enter and many of the freaks are quite clearly fakes.
