This is an reduced map used for the 1822: Railways of Great Britain game, which is part of the 18xx series based on the growth of the Railways through the age of steam. It is based on a map of containing England, parts of Wales and Scottland, less of the north and southwest compared to the full 1822 map.
Players take the part of investors in Railway companies and then operate the companies to maximise their own wealth.
Three variants of the 1822 Medium Regional Scenario are given in the rules. The Starter version is intended for those with no experience with 1822. The Standard version is intended for players that wish to experience gameplay similar to the full 1822 game, but in a shorter duration. The Advanced version is more volatile and is the same as the previously web-published variant made available upon 1822’s release.
