Description
The generic card game War – played with a standard deck of 52 playing-cards – has been around for a long time, and remains many youngsters’ introduction to wargames. 1944: The Card Game upgrades its predecessor with a military theme and more interesting mechanisms. While the old playing-card game is a purely random exercise, in 1944 the players get a small hand of cards and must choose which to play. A player’s strategy, tactics, memory and hunches can go a long way toward winning. Of course, a little luck wouldn’t hurt, either.
