These army lists are unusual in that they contain between 80 and 100 armies from the period 1700 – 1900. Virtually every army list is taken from a specific battle or campaign and is given at least a paragraph of background information – so, unlike other books of army lists, it is much more a compilation of historical research adapted to a specific set of rules.
