User summary:
2d6 Quick & Dirty is a rules-light generic, universal RPG system. Character creation consists of the player generating a list of Traits (narrative tags) and allocating points to those traits, from a point pool.
Whenever an action is attempted "that might fail", the player rolls 2d6 and adds any modifier from an appropriate Trait; the Game Master may enforce other modifiers (penalties or bonuses). A result of 8 or better succeeds. A natural roll of 2 always fails and a natural roll of 12 always succeeds, regardless of modifiers.
Combat works in the same way, except the opponents each generate a roll and result with the winner determining the loser's fate. This may involve damage to a trait which may recover at the Game Master's discretion.
