Description

From publisher blurb:

In the world before time was measured, before men called themselves rulers of the land, before fire was tamed—there was the hunt. The strong fought with brute force. The swift ran their prey to exhaustion. But the Shadow Stalker?

They never had to fight.

They never had to chase.

They waited, silent and unseen, until the perfect moment.

They are the whispers in the dark, the flicker of movement just beyond the fire’s glow, the cold presence that raises the hairs on the back of the neck. They are not warriors—they are inevitabilities.

The Birth of a Shadow Stalker

A Shadow Stalker is not raised among their people. They are forged in silence, shaped by darkness, honed by solitude.

Some are cast out, forced to survive alone in the wild. Some are born in the deep caves, where light never reaches, where the air is thick with the scent of unseen things. Others simply choose the path, drawn to the thrill of the hunt, the power of remaining unseen, the knowledge that they are the ones who decide when the battle begins—and ends.

The Forgotten Child

Some Shadow Stalkers were once part of a tribe. Then, they were not.

Perhaps they were left behind after a raid, too small to fight, too weak to be noticed. Perhaps they were exiled for breaking a sacred rule, forced to wander alone where death should have claimed them.

But death did not come.

Instead, they became something else.

They learned the ways of the caves, the shadows, the places where the foolish dare not tread. They learned to walk unseen, to move with the wind, not against it. They did not chase their food like the desperate hunters of the tribe. They waited. They watched. And when the moment was right, they struck only once.
