Description

From publisher blurb:

The sky was never silent.

Long before men carved stories into stone, before they tamed the fire, before they hunted the great beasts of the land, the sky spoke. It rumbled in warning, whispered on the wind, wept in rain, and struck in fury. The people learned to fear it, to revere it, to pray to it—but there were some who did more.

Some did not fear the storm.

They listened.

They stood at the edge of the cliffs, arms outstretched, feeling the currents shift before the first winds arrived. They walked into the thunder, felt the pulse of the storm in their veins, watched the clouds churn and heard the voice in the wind. They saw patterns in the sky, omens in the rain, and knew when the air itself was pregnant with power.

These were the Skycallers, the ones who understood that the sky was not simply a force of nature—it was a living thing, a spirit of fury and wisdom, a force that could be guided, shaped, and called upon.

To stand against them is to stand against the storm itself.

The Calling of the Sky

A Skycaller is not taught in a hut or a cave. They do not learn from books, nor do they follow the teachings of elders who sit by the fire.

Their knowledge is earned in the wild, whispered in the wind, carved into their skin by lightning and rain and the howling gales.

Born in the Storm

Some Skycallers are born into the heart of the tempest. Their mothers gave birth as thunder cracked overhead, their first cries lost in the rolling sky. From the moment they could walk, they could feel the shifting of the air, the tension before the rains, the hum in their bones before the first lightning struck.

Their people feared them, for where they went, the storms followed.

But the sky does not curse its chosen—it calls them.

And one day, when the winds howled loud enough, they answered.
