In the year 2185 at the height of Human evolution and endeavour, earth's inhabitants totalled 13.8 billion with a reach into the stars. Then in 2199 came the invasion by the Caentari Alliance, along with it a war that lasted 100 years with only 1% of the planets original population surviving.
The year is now 2399 and a 100 years have passed since the failed alien invasion. A necessary peace exists between earth's inhabitants where Human and Alien have learnt to co-exist.
Earth's inhabitants face many dangers, AEGIS a self aware planetary defence system that sees all humanoid life a threat to the planet, monsters from other worlds that pour into earth through tears in the fabric of space and time, Violent and unpredictable storms also ravage the planets surface causing havoc on technology.
7th Extinction is a high science fiction setting in a bleak post invasion future.
