A High Society Heist

Description

Freed from prison and their liberty momentarily secure, the newest probationary members of the Thieves of Moonlight Bay now must prove their worth to their rescuers. The guild’s Master of Novices, Linyas Keenspell, places before them a test of skill: gain entry to the infamous manor of Lord Drisdon; pose as noble guests or his household staff; and steal the radiant Drisdon Star, a priceless family heirloom, from the family’s secure vault. Success means full entry into the guild while failure will find them out on the streets.

Lord Drisdon’s security, while not perfect, is an efficient and well-oiled machine: Invitations are confirmed, weapons are confiscated, and new faces are questioned. To find success, this ragtag group of newly minted thieves will need to use all the cunning and deceit at their disposal. Will they be caught, or is this their start as true Thieves of Moonlight Bay?

This adventure is sized for a party of four level 4 characters of any class, but can be easily adapted for any Tier 1 party. It's also designed to be run over a lunch hour or other short length of time, though it can be easily extended to fit into a normal evening's D&D session.
