A New Home
This adventure takes place in a world that has seen much tragedy. The towns and cities have been recovering from the past decades of strife and slowly the world starts to show signs of prosperity again. The characters taking the spotlight of this adventure have seen some of this tragedy in one way or another and seek the happiness and acceptance of a new home to help process and overcome that tragedy.
Everyone knows the tales of the mysterious city, said to be hidden away beyond civilization. Most folk think this is purely a fairy tale made up by those seeking to nourish light and hope back into the lives of the people, but in reality this legendary kingdom does exist and even plays a major role in the protection of balance and peace of this world.
Today, the characters will set out on a journey that will likely change their lives forever. They will chase the legend of the hidden city of Aventus and find out that there is much more to the tales than they had ever been told.
For who?
Many adventures out there are written with tension, spectacular battles and invigorating bossfights. Those are a lot of fun to play, but... not always for all audiences.
'A New Home' is written specifically for younger players, players new to the game and those who prefer the experience of a wonderful and whimsical journey. The adventure is accompanied by many musical suggestions and recommendations to amplify the immersion and experience aspect of the tale.
This adventure is intended for a group of 3 to 5 1st level characters. A great introduction to the game and a great way to get to know the other players.
By who?
The author of this story is new to the craft of writing and publishing, but does have several years of D&D experience behind his belt. Glenn van Amsterdam has acted for 7 years during his youth, enjoying the feeling of taking up a role and crawling into a characters skin for a few hours. He currently tries to incorporate this experience into the wonderful world of Dungeons & Dragons, to see if there are ways to bring a more broad palette of types of adventures on the market.
