From the introduction:
A group of mercenary adventurers working for a semi-prophetic priest of Tyr have been sent to investigate a miscarriage of justice in a nearby village. Unknown to the priest & adventurers - the village miller has been accused of murdering the fisherman's son by poisoning the river by the mill. In reality, a spy working for the organisation MIST was disguised as the miller and had inadvertently poisoned the river whilst dumping out old supplies.
