A Way with Words

Each player chooses a color. Players then take turns placing a vowel tile of his or her color on the board until all the vowels have been placed. The remaining letter tiles of all the colors are mixed together. Each player then draws three tiles, and players alternate placing one tile on the board and scoring for any forward or backward words, including embedded words, created by the placement. Words of a single color --- your color or an opponent's --- score more. Each player replenishes his hand following the placement. Play to an agreed-upon number of points.
