I am happy to release the eighteenth book in my OSR Series of adventures, “ABHAINN Sĺ: THE PUMPKIN MAN RETURNS” ("Ah-win she"), a mid-level, holiday-themed adventure for a group of 4 to 6 players running characters of levels 3 to 5. This spooky adventure was written for use during the observance of Halloween/Samhain, as it features the return of a terrifying fae villain known to stalk the world of Terrans: The Pumpkin Man! This creepy villain is back from Faerie and terrorizing mortals again; this time around its assembled a small Chaotic army of corrupted elven undead and quickling foot soldiers to attack the village of Unwin, and make off with their bairns. The vile fae lord intend to drag the children to Faerie, never to be heard from or seen again, and it’s to your players to stop this!
SYNOPSIS: On a brisk fall morning the good folks of Unwin were making preparations for their annual Samhain festival, which everyone (and especially the children) was excited about, when calamity struck. The village was beset by a band of supernatural beings: Chaotic undead and faeries, led by a cruel fae lord known as The Pumpkin Man! In the aftermath of the attack, the defenders found structures looted and burned, several folk dead and, worst of all, a dozen children missing. Witnesses reported the bairns were carried off by the attackers. Fearing the children would be dragged off to Faerie, a militia force was sent in pursuit; all but one were slain. Now the authorities are seeking help from outsiders, to rescue the kidnapped children and end this supernatural threat.
