Welcome to Benthys
Formed and rising from the long-fallen arm of their ancient protector - the cosmic robot Maethky - the denizens of Abysara call the City on a Shelf their home in the great blue waters of the planet of Benthys.
From the island breeze of above the ways to the deepest darkest depths below, it can not be understated how vast and beautiful this city is. An example of how nature and technology can work together in this modern age. The City of Abysara, because of how large it is, is split between six levels across the pelagic zones of the ocean.
The overall governmental body for Abysara is called the Council of Abysara, which is made up of the six Harbormasters that lead each level. The Council usually meets twice a year to keep up to date with each other, but they can be called together in an emergency.

Learn the legends of the Defenders: Bulwark, Finn, Pincerblade, Riptide, Maw, and Serpana. There are stories of things from before the birth of Abysara: relics recovered from deep in the abyss, sightings off in the waters. These have come to be called the Defenders, strange magical beings dedicated to keeping the denizens of Abysara safe, but from what. Scholars believe from beings called the Abyssal Kings - ancient tyrants who wielded horrific power and conquered many of the people of Benthys until the emergence of the Defenders to fight back.
