Adventures in a Box is an exciting new game series that lets players explore diverse fantasy worlds through easy-to-learn rules. Adventure in a Box: Finsterwacht, the first game in the series, takes place in the universe of Das Schwarze Auge. In this game, a Game Master (GM) guides players through a mix of storytelling and combat encounters. During narrative rounds, players make decisions that shape the storyline and affect future outcomes. Combat rounds are played on a board, where players face enemies represented by tokens and work together to achieve specific objectives, similar to classic dungeon crawlers. The entire game spans four sessions, each lasting 2–4 hours, for a total playtime of 10 to 20 hours. The game is won after succeeding the final fight, or may be lost anytime when all players are defeated.
