Welcome to classical Greece!
It's 431 B.C. and your leadership is urgently requested!
Guide the fortune of the naval power of Athens, the belligerent Sparta, the trading giant of Corinth or the seven-gated Thebes.
You decide how you want your civilization to succeed. Will Sparta become a democracy with strong maritime trade?
Will Corinth conquer their neighbors and become an aristocratic empire?
Will Athens manipulate the other players and surprise everyone with a hidden agenda?
Everything is possible - you decide!
The game is played on a 5 x 5 raster. The four (or three) players start in a corner.
It's about exploration & expansion, about trading and diplomatic agreements.
Aegeapolis is an economic game at its core.
You can establish trade routes with neutral cities and with other players. You can capture neutral cities,
conquer player poleis (cities) and destroy their trade routes.
To win the game you earn victory points. This happens in recurring scoring rounds by investing resources,
by having the largest empire and by agenda civilization cards which surprise your opponents with your hidden goals.
