A powerful military presence in the cosmos, aewop resemble large leopard seal humanoids who wear heavy power armor decorated with bones, teeth, and furs. The large helmets that complete the ensemble are often adorned with runic sigils linking to the hunger-clans they live in. Toting massive laser-harpoon rifles, aewop society is ruled by the hunger clans, cultural groups dedicated to Keeping fed the massive imperialist chapters of aewop fleets expanding across the cosmos to fill their glut. Each hunger-clan is ruled over by a High Hunger, who is the largest and fattest aewop but also the strongest and deadliest. Often taking titles like Blooddrinker, Spinesnapper, Stomachslicer, and such, aquatic or semiaquatic worlds are always terrified when the shadow of an aewop ship draws close to them. For all their incredibly military prowess, the aewop can succumb to the Bludhugn, a ravenous state that causes them to be driven by a need to eat and consume and all reason fails. Often the older an aewop becomes, the more frequent the Bludhugn takes them.
