AFL Premiership 2006 is a simulation game only for the PlayStation 2 based on the AFL. The game was developed by Australian games developer IR Gurus and was published by Sony Computer Entertainment under the SCEE label. It was released on 20 July 2006 and is the tenth game in the AFL video game series. The game was only released in Australia. Commentary includes, Dennis Cometti, Dermott Brereton, and Christi Malthouse.

Features that were in AFL Premiership 2005 include "Career mode", which lets the player play in the pre-season, home and away season, and finals. There is also, player trading, National AFL Draft and player development. AFL Tribunal is also used with in-game reports and suspensions. Player development can improve players or newly drafted rookies. "Mission Mode", allows the player to choose one of the 16 teams and simulate a game from the chosen teams historical match. "Training mode", allows the player to practice on a reginal oval before playing in the main modes.
