Description

Al-Jabr is a competitive game for 2 to 5 players. During a round, each player will try to reach a randomly chosen target number. The player who comes closest to the target number wins the round.
-description from publisher's website

In each round two digit cards are opened, forming a target number. Each player receives 5 random digit cards and a series of mathematical operators. At the signal, everyone must try to organize all their cards, using the mathematical operators, in such a way as to create an algebraic equation to arrive at the target value or as close to it as possible.
When a player thinks their account is ready or close enough, they call an end to the round and turn over an hourglass. Now the other players only have the hourglass time to finish their turns.
After the time is up, everyone checks that their equations are correct and the player who came closest to the target number wins a point.
The player who gets 3 points first wins the game.

The game also comes with a manual for teachers, teaching them how to use this game in the classroom.
