A bit of lore: The ice peaks and cold mountains in the north are no man's land. The forces of nature are an everyday challenge to those who dare come. Some survive and live to tell the tale, others become frozen statistics.
Jerôme the merchant was ambushed by yeti. The ice monstrosities ate the horses and mules after destroying one of his carriages. His bodyguards did what they could but to drive the monsters away but another attack would be lethal. Forced to make camp, they must decide if they'll wait for someone to save them, or take the ankle-deep snowy road by foot. The yeti are still hungry, will someone help poor Jerôme?
