Description

Ammo: Il Gioco di Roolo is an Italian RPG published in 1994 with a scifi/fantasy/horror setting based on some manga and anime.

The game is set in 2030 Kyoto where, after the discovery of an alien spaceship called D-Destroyer orbiting Titan, terrestrial technology makes a leap forward by exploiting mental energy. The discovery is announced by Professor Shuichi Yamagata, a scientist who had been studying an artifact found on the alien ship, a sort of gigantic armor. Yamagata wasn't the only scientist interested in this new form of energy: Professor Tsukamoto, struggling with the study of another alien artifact, found on the same ship had come to the same results as Yamagata. However, Tsukamoto wanted the exclusive on this discovery and decided to use his artifact, thinking it was a bomb, to try to destroy Kyoto, the city where Yamagata lived, and eliminate his rival. The D-Destroyer, once activated, destroyed Tsukamoto's laboratory, killing him, before leaving for Kyoto and crashing into the Kyoto Tower. Despite the great light emitted by the bomb, the destructive force did not prove to be particularly worrying. Two days after this event, however, strange creatures began to appear from the foundations of the shopping center below the Kyoto Tower, hostile to any form of life they encountered. Because of this violent conduct they were called "demons" and the army was forced to intervene by building very high steel walls around the center of the city (from that moment on called Core). Despite the walls, the demons managed to get out of the Core and threatened Kyoto, which now seemed doomed, until Professor Yamagata together with a group of boys equipped with power armor, or battlemover, they managed to repel the wave of demons inside the walls. The group is called CCC (Codimensional Combat Corps), and PCs will be CCC members.
