Amtgard is a strange dimensional plane which all manner of folk may travel into. Amtgard is open to any type of medieval or ancient/medieval fantasy enthusiast (leave the cow-boy hat, tie-dye, and Star Wars crapola at home). A participant creates his or her own character, including a name and history. The point behind all this is to stimulate both the body and the imagination and behalf as an elf, ninth-century Norseman or demon might.
