Description

From the back of the book:

A history stained with wars and tragedy forms the backdrop for a modern age of hope, innovation, and discovery.

Although humanity no longer has the gods watching over them, they have harnessed the power of aestus, a roiling magical force that can be wrought into spells, but must be accumulated and vented carefully, lest it spiral out of control. Brilliant minds build experimental machines. Visionaries uphold virtues, kept alive by their dedication to ideals, as much as by their skills.

An Atlas of the Horizons is a roleplaying game about building a bright tomorrow on the foundation of a troubled past. The game gives players a flexible framework to build the characters they want to play, mixing and matching natures and paths to create anything from a blind inventor with a focus on medical technology to a young debutante sowing the seeds of a rebellion against the Bvortanian monarchy.

After overcoming obstacles with the flexible and intuitive dice system and fighting duels focused on dealing lasting wounds and forcing your opponent to divulge information or surrender belongings, each chapter of your game will add to your character’s legacy, improving their future endeavors and adding to the rumors that circulate about them.

Troubles plague the continent, but the citizens are willing to overcome their fears to face them. Stand with your peers at the dawn of the Age of Diamond and shape the future.
