Anache

Description

Anache is a game where the goal is to occupy both of the opponent's corners with your pieces, or to completely immobilize the opponent.

On your turn, you can move a connected group of up to 3 men one space forward. After your men cross the central line, they become Knights and can move in groups of up to 5, as well as gaining the power of being able to move sideways. This ability to manipulate large groups every move alongside a 12* protocol makes the game fast-paced and dynamic, although it takes place on a 12x12 board with 40 pieces per player.

Anache is a tactically rich game that never slows down to a crawl, and has features of both traversal and battle games. In particular, the capture mechanisms in this game are directly inspired by the battle game Mak-yek, with custodian capture (and its opposite, Intervention).
