Description

The book provides a general overview of miniature wargaming in the ancient and medieval periods. While designed for miniatures players, the included historical backgrounds, army tactics, and army lists (50+) are useful to the ancient and medieval boardgamer as well.

The book is divided into the following periods: Biblical, Classical, Dark Age and Medieval. Within each other period, there are chapters on the history, troops, weapons, army list, miniatures rules, and a battle report. The included miniatures rules for each period are only 6 pages long, and armies are 8 units of 4 stands each (some special units like Elephants or Artillery has only 1 stand). Battle reports are for the battles of Kadesh (Biblical), Issus (Classical), Mount Baden (Dark Ages), and Agincourt (Medieval).
