Floating in space on a strange vessel, sole survivor of a world... and maybe of the entire human race, Ektor Mastiff must find a way through the cosmos, on a voyage that can change the history of mankind forever.
Aboard an impossible-to-identify object — machine, alien, entity? — and shot into the cosmos at speeds not compatible with the normal laws of physics, our protagonist finds himself floating in an area of the universe that seems different from all the others: a place of shadow, black, without stars.
But then a strong gravitational attraction draws him into a structure, this time, yes, of alien origin, which hides the deepest secrets of human civilization and entire galaxies.
A story of exploration, discovery and some of the greatest themes man has ever faced: who are we? where do we come from? and above all… are we alone in the universe?
Through a narration crossed by brief flashbacks, the story tries to dissect complex thoughts, such as the role of Science in the Creation and how intelligent beings must face their path – small dots in an infinity of stars.
