From publisher blurb:
The city of Ankhara thrums with the restless energy of a metropolis teetering on the edge of oblivion. Beneath its fractured skyline of neon towers and smog-choked spires lies a labyrinth of shadows where the desperate, the cunning, and the damned collide. The Trinity Pact may hold dominion over the galaxy’s brightest worlds, but here, in the forgotten depths of this crumbling city, their grip weakens. It is in these shadows that rebellion ferments and the whispers of secrets too dangerous to surface echo. Ankhara is a place where the streets themselves seem alive, shifting underfoot like a predator circling its prey. The air is electric, charged with the hum of illicit tech and the whispered incantations of forgotten gods. The faint glow of holo-ads promising salvation flickers over gutters lined with despair. It is here, amidst the chaos of rogue gangs and clandestine covens, that a name has surfaced—a name carried in hurried whispers and encoded messages: Patient Zero. What Patient Zero represents, no one can say for certain, but the implications are whispered in fear and greed. The few who know the truth speak of a virus—a creation of unimaginable destruction. Whether it is biological or digital, living or artificial, matters little. What matters is this: someone holds the key to it, and that someone is hiding in Ankhara. If this knowledge reaches the wrong hands, it could ignite a conflict that even the Trinity Pact would struggle to contain. The hunt begins. Your role in this dark tale is yet unwritten, but your steps will carve a path through the treacherous underworld of Ankhara. As you navigate this city of lies, you will cross paths with powerful factions, each vying for control of Patient Zero. The Dusk Circuit, a gang of anarchistic smugglers and mercenaries, seeks the virus to tip the fragile balance of power. Meanwhile, the Covenant of Viteth, a secretive cult obsessed with forbidden technology, views Patient Zero as the key to fulfilling their apocalyptic prophecy. In this story, alliances are fragile and trust is a luxury you cannot afford. Every corner of Ankhara holds secrets and dangers in equal measure. The shadows are alive with the hiss of betrayal, and the lines between enemy and ally blur as you delve deeper into the city’s depths. Success may grant you power, redemption, or even survival. Failure, however, promises only death—or worse.
