Publisher's blurb:
Annalyse Penn plotted revenge for those responsible for destroying her lover Jack von Zarovich – also known as Happy Jack. During her grief, she was guided by a group of demons known as the Quartet. These demons took her to the Lavolion Theater as a venue to stage her revenge. She joined the theater as a dancer, then slowly let the Quartet demons manipulate the place, eventually twisting the world into creating a dark reflection of the Lavolion that lurked in a parallel Abyssal plane beneath the theater. When Annalyse and their demented planar theater were ready, the Quartet advertised a show: Revenge, a Tragedy in Two Acts, by Annalyse Penn. People came to see the show, then never returned home.
The Quartet tore a hole in the Material plane, creating an exact copy of the Lavolion. The duplicate Lavolion emerged during the most recent show at the opera house, and the Quartet trapped the patrons in this nightmare playground world based on Annalyse’s grief. Annalyse is trapped as well, the Quartet having used her to the point where they consider her a discarded, broken toy.
Though Annalyse’s Revenge is a follow up adventure to Happy Jack’s Funhouse, and has ties to The Madhouse of Tasha’s Kiss, you do not have to have run those adventures to run Annalyse’s Revenge. The adventure includes options to run it as a standalone one-shot. Playtime is roughly 3 to 5 hours.
