Description

"ANTIETAM" combines traditional hex and counter mechanics with a unique "Orders" system, where players issue orders to their various corps (or Confederate wings) at the beginning of a turn, then alternating phases are conducted by each side.

Union success is closely tied to McClellan's "attitude", or his will to put up a fight via the "Mac's Will" track. The Union player must succeed in combat to do this, but in the meantime Little Mac is an albatross. Additionally, the Orders Cards limit the ability for each side to conduct offensives, and careful planning is necessary.
