Description

From the publisher blurb:

A Single-Player Monster Hunt

This world is enormous, a living, breathing ecosystem that we can only hope to brush against in awe.

In comparison, we are miniscule.

Creatures exist here that could utterly crush us, that could devour us without being remotely satisfied, and they move through this place as if they belong here.

They do.

But we are not defenseless. We are cunning, and we are patient, and we are daring.

They are the ones with the claws and fangs and wings, with the rending strength and deafening roars, and they are the ones who were made for the freezing wastes and who hunt there freely.

We are the apex predators.

A New World

This is a sequel to the solo TTRPG Apex Predator, a Carta game based on the Monster Hunter series of games. It’s a journaling game if you want it to be, or it can be played more like a board game if that’s what you’re in the mood for. You don’t need to have played Apex Predator or Monster Hunter before to play this game – it stands on its own, and just takes the game to a new world and new dangers.

If you want to play the same hunter in both games, then feel free to carry over any trophies you’ve won in Apex Predator to Whitesky Reach and vise-versa.

You Will Need:

1 standard 52-card deck of playing cards
A 10-sided die
A pen or pencil
Paper or a journal
A marker, like a coin or small toy
