User summary
Adept is the sequel to Archon, and is a mixture of a tactical board game and a versus action battle game. Play takes place on a board with areas of the four elements. Both players control four wizards who can summon creatures to their side. The goal of the game is to defeat the other player's wizards or stand on all six power points on the board during one turn, or defeat the other player with the apocalypse spell and final battle.
When two creatures occupy the same space, the screen changes into a battlefield and a battle between the two creatures begin, where both players run around on the screen casting missiles on each other. The battle field is littered with obstacles of the element on which the battle takes place.
