Description

User summary
Archon is a board game-like game inspired by chess, with action scenes when the pieces fight. It was designed by Paul Reiche III and Jon Freeman.

The game board consisted of light spaces and dark spaces, and the background could also change from light to dark. Each player has a set of pieces with different board moving abilities and different attack patterns during the action sequences. Dark pieces have an advantage on dark spaces, and vice versa. Player pieces can be placed on power points, and the game ends when one player controls all five power points."
