ARS: Alternative Roleplaying System, presents an alternative core mechanic system that is intended to replace the system used in the commercially published Steve Jackson Games' Fighting Fantasy and Advanced Fighting Fantasy. While much of the original game system is retained, some new Attributes are introduced. The rules provide for conversion.
The variant rules attempt to: shorten and vary combat, and provide a flexible magic system.
