User Summary
Arx Fatalis is a first-person shooter that bares a striking similarity to the 'Ultima Underworld' series - although it is not officially linked.
The world of Arx is without a sun, and as a result the various inhabitants of Arx have begun to populate the various underground mines. As resources are limited, a war begins to break out amongst the populous for food and drink.
It is in this world that the player is thrown into the game - to explore the long hidden secret of Arx and the world around him. The player will explore ancient ruins, busy cities, abandoned mines and face unworldly creatures along the way.
The game features plenty of sub-quests, a gesture-based casting system with a variety of spells based on 20 simple movements, a wealth of weapons available to destroy an equally high number of creatures, and it will all take place within a massive underground world.
