Every year, thousands of people use the Bom Jesus Ascensor to travel the route that separates the road from the sanctuary. The Elevator, the oldest in the world powered by water, is itself a symbol of the city and tourists take the opportunity to take the best possible photos along the way.
In Ascensor, players are the controllers of the Ascensor (PICA). Their goal is to get as many tourists onto the Lift as possible, but so that they don't get in the way when taking photos.
On a turn, players choose how many tourists do they want to carry in the Ascensor, with the goal of providing them a great experience by taking the best possible photos.
Then, dice are rolled and the game starts playing. The player has some limited options to mitigate dice results and must use the wisely. Plus, trying to get too many tourists in the Ascensor is tempting but can be too risky, because if the sum of the dice is lower than the number of tourists, it means there were too many people struggling to take the best pictures, thus ruining each other experience.
And be careful, because the choices you make in the beginning will impact your way back, and crown your performance with a statue or... the oblivion.
