Publishers blurb.
The world was once whole; seas of green grass and crystal blue waters traversed the globe, great and shining cities glittered in the sunlight, and all was good. But the peoples of those times must have angered the Gods, because they sent a great stone from the heavens and the seas and the lands were undone. All was shattered, the old maps made useless, and a new shape was cast upon the world. This was two centuries ago or more – now the seas are black and full of teeth, and grasslands and forests few and far between. Much is now covered in ashes, and only the strongest sort of people survive. But even here, in the midst of such desolation, some play at making civilisations again. Some are villainous, others hopelessly naive, but all strive for the glory of the past.
And always the rumours of better lands persist, untouched by the wrath of heaven, though all but impossibly far away…
Ash: The Broken World is a campaign setting for 5th Edition. The book you are viewing is suitable for players and DMs alike, and along with the core rule books contains everything needed to take your first step into the Ash Wastes.
Thanks for checking out this release! This book is the first in a series about Ash: The Broken World, a campaign setting which takes place after a terrible cataclysm. Everything characters need to know before diving in is contained here, but in the near future I'll be releasing a DM's Guide, which contains rules, maps, and futher information on some of the mysteries hinted at inside, as well as perodic adventures after this which will update the state of the setting for interested groups - I've always disliked settings afraid to change the status quo!
