Assorted Slang and Terminology Volume 3: Collective Nouns

Game ID: GID0031424
Collection Status
Description

Publisher's blurb:

A collective noun is a name for a collection or group of things. Rather than saying “that group” or “or those (x) over there” you would use a collective-noun to give the group/collection its proper name.

The following format is used for each entry:
[subject] [collective noun]

This would tell you that, for example, the collective noun for a group of apes would be a troop – “We must be careful, there is a large troop of apse that live here and they don’t like visitors”

This publication is divided up into three main sections:

1. Animals – Anything from the natural world
2. People – For groups of people, such as cowboys
3. Things – Anything else not covered by the first two sections
