It is up to you, playing the role of Asterix and Obelix and interchanging between them, to locate and free all your fellow villagers who have been imprisoned in various parts of the Roman Empire ranging six different countries, and secure the magic potion before it reaches Ceasar.. Your ability to skillfully switch between Asterix and Obelix when appropriate is of the upmost importance. Both Asterix and Obelix have skills and capabilities that will help you - each in his own unique way - defeat the zillions of Romans determined to put an end to your career. In addition to delivering countless punches, gameplay also includes solving an array of puzzles throughout the game's forty plus levels.
The remaster features upgraded visuals, reworked gameplay animations, new game modes, a new camera and new soundtrack. An option to switch to the original visuals and soundtrack is also included.
