An adventure/action game by Beam Software, based on the French/Belgian comic book Asterix. Asterix is set during the Roman occupation of Gaule (France), and is the comical story about the village of Roman Empire-resisting, invincible Gauls.
The game is played in a flick-screen environment, and the player controls Asterix and Obelix, searching for items and using them to rebuild the magic cauldron, that the village druid needs to make the Potion of Invincibility that the village is famous for. When Asterix meets an enemy, a small windows with a fighting scene pops up, be it a wild board (Obelix' favourite food) or a Roman centurion.
