From publisher blurb:
The Last Great Gold Rush Is Among the Stars
The frontier isn’t gone. It just moved to space.
The asteroid belts, the Kuiper Belt, the Oort Cloud—scattered across the solar system are untold riches, locked in rock and ice, waiting for those bold enough to claim them.
Planetary governments talk about ownership, about regulations, about whose laws apply in the void.
Corporate empires send out automated mining drones, working under carefully negotiated contracts.
But the truth is, the real wealth isn’t taken by governments or corporations.
It’s taken by those who get there first.
Asteroid Prospectors are the last of the free adventurers—entrepreneurs, risk-takers, and fortune hunters who chase the next big strike across the black. Some run small-scale mining operations, others scout for corporations, and a few live dangerously, sneaking onto unclaimed rocks and selling their haul to the highest bidder.
A single asteroid can change everything.
Or it can kill you just as easily.
A Prospector’s Life: Chasing the Strike
Prospectors aren’t miners working for a salary. They aren’t corporate engineers managing automated machines from the comfort of a station.
They’re independent operators, going out into the asteroid belts with nothing but a ship, a drill, and a dream.
Scanning & Surveying – Asteroids all look the same from the outside. A prospector must know how to scan beneath the surface, detecting valuable minerals and hidden dangers.
Landing & Anchoring – With no gravity to keep them grounded, prospectors must master zero-G movement, tethering themselves to the rock while they work.
Excavation & Extraction – Mining in space isn’t just about digging. Use too much force, and the asteroid could shatter—or worse, send debris straight into your ship’s hull.
Processing & Selling – Raw ore is too bulky to haul far—some prospectors refine it on-site, others sell the claim and move on to the next big strike.
Claim Jumpers & Pirates – The asteroid belt has no real law, and if you find something valuable, someone will try to take it.
Every prospector is after one thing—the big haul.
And they’re willing to risk everything for it.
