Description

Ate the Game is a party game that combines word-guessing and role-playing. A cluegiver draws a series of cards with words ending with the suffix -ate and tries to get their team to guess as many as they can in one minute, while also playing a role as defined by a Mandate card.

Set up:
Divide into teams of at least two people. Separately shuffle the ATE deck (cards with words that end in -ate) and the MANDATE deck (cards that dictate how the cluegiver must act while giving clues).

Gameplay:
The Mandator draws an ATE card and one MANDATE card. When they are ready to begin, the opposing team starts a 60-second timer.

The Mandator tries to get their team to guess as many ATE cards as possible while performing the MANDATE card.

At the end of a turn, the playing team has one chance to guess the current MANDATE card. If an ATE card remains unguessed when time is up, the opposing team has one chance to steal the card with a correct guess.

Correctly guessed ATE and MANDATE cards are one point each. A stolen ATE card is two points. A skipped ATE card (The Mandator is only allowed to skip one ATE card per turn) is minus two points.

The game ends when each player on a team has performed as the Mandator twice. The team with the highest score wins or play a tie-breaker round.
