Publisher's blurb:
A repulsive man had greeted us in the early evening, even though the service had been closed for some time. He spoke very little, turning on the lights as we went along the corridor. He took out some large rusty keys and opened the metal door to the autopsy room.
A fresh smell mixed with that of putrefaction seized us. I took out a handkerchief.
Our guy took a broom that was lying around and made great circular gestures, scraping the floor.
"-You rats, get out of here!
"-They're eating our corpses!" he grinned, turning back to us.
Indeed, I could see dark shapes sliding towards the metal cupboards.
"-Look, that's where they're coming out of!" and he pointed to a corpse cupboard.
The cupboard was empty, but the metal bottom looked corroded and had a large hole in it.
"-Enough to let a big dog through!".
