Description

Show me as I can't hear anything!
Draw without saying anything!
Tell me, but without saying too much!

In the party game Babelo, players compete individually or in teams to race across the board from start to finish. On a turn, the active player or team rolls a die, moves his pawn the indicated number of spaces, then secretly reads the word or phrase on the card associated with the number rolled. Depending on the color of the space where the pawn stands, the player now presents clues to the other players in a particular manner:

On a blue space, the player can use only gestures, as in charades. The player cannot write, draw, or make any sounds at all.

On a red space, the player must describe the phrase using only synonyms, descriptions and other words that suggest the phrase without repeating any part of it.

On a purple space, the player must draw the phrase without talking, gesturing, making sounds or writing any words.
