A set of small alleyways lead you to a set of stone pillars which mark the entrance to a grimy back street arena. Crates and barrels have been stacked outside it’s door in a small courtyard area where small flowers poke through gaps in the cobblestone.
Inside lies a circular room with small staircases on either side allow access to stands while a set of steps lies down to the main fighting area. Dried blood covers the floor and sharpened stakes line the walls.
Adventure Seed
Rumors have been spreading of an illegal fighting ring somewhere within the city, however after extensive searching the best the cities guards have come up with is that the location lies somewhere within the slums. They need someone unknown to infiltrate this fighting ring and disclose it’s location to them so they can shut it down, saving lives.
You manage to uncover the fact that the fighting ring changes locations frequently to many abandoned buildings around the city and obtain the current location from a shady peasant. However upon arrive at the location the building is empty and you’re ambushed soon after and knocked unconscious.
You awake within the real arena with crowds of people cheering from the stands. A large man standing above you on a platform explains that he’s taken men and women from the streets who had nothing and gave them at chance at earning wealth and glory. He’s forced no one to fight who didn’t want to and you and your puppet masters want to take away their freedom to choose for themselves.
He tells you he likes you, that you’re a fighter and he wants to see you fight tonight for the crowd, if you do he’ll let you go and that’ll be that. However he warns you that the fights won’t stop until his body is dead and cold, no matter what you tell the puppet masters, by the time they come to clear this place out everyone will be gone.
