Backgrounds are important, because they let you flesh out your characters in ways that are different than just the mechanics of classes. But what if you could use them to improve build variety and roleplay possibilities without just giving players a free feat a level one?
These backgrounds feats are just that: small feats with a limited power budget, made specifically for the purpose of increasing player options and build variety, while also improving roleplay possibilities outside of combat. When you pick a background at level one, you also get the respective Background Feat, without replacing your background features. For example, if you choose Investigator background, you get the Tools of the Trade feat. Now, your characters can be even more unique!
