A remarkable chthonic denizen of the underworld, the balaur is called forth from the underworld by dark magick. These ancient serpent-like beasts with their poisonous breath and blood so virulent that even its tracks are deadly. It is said that the balaur does not need to sleep entirely. While sleeping, at least a couple of heads were always awake and focused.
