Battle Cubes, the Age of Aries uses several different game mechanics, including dice rolling, worker placement, action selection, battle, and area control. Each clan has different special abilities which makes them unique. The game's length is determined by the number of battle cubes that players select to start the game with.
The unique thing about the game is the battle cube surrender action which shifts the balance of powers on the board. There is also direct player interaction in which players play their defensive actions on opponents' clan boards.
