Charles Grant enjoys a great reputation as one of the earliest exponents of the fast-growing hobby of wargaming and has indeed played a large part in contributing to that expansion and popularity. This book comprises a series of monthly articles that appeared in our Meccano Magazine now offered for the first time in book form. It contains a number of suggested rules for wargaming, with tables of score values, designs for score valuation devices plus a sound appreciation of the special values of the various arms of a modern army. Unlike some other publications it is confined almost entirely to wargaming for the periods of World Wars I and II. Useful chapters are also included on valuation of morale in warfare. Whilst suited to the novice, this is really a book to be appreciated by the gamer with a little experience now ready for serious play.
