Game Manual

Battleground is a simulation of tactical World War II combat on the western front, with actual battleground maneuvers accurately represented. The playing grid represents a five by ten mile battleground, consisting of two hundred blocks. (Each block is a one half mile square.)

Two players take turns giving commands to their armies in an attempt to weaken the opponent and occupy as much territory as possible. One turn, with each player issuing four commands, is equivalent to two hours of battle time. A typical twelve turn game represents twenty four hours of battle.
