The dwarves of the North are renowned throughout recorded history for their skills at the forge and ability to create weapons, armor and other useful items and imbue them with lasting magic. To this day the “longbeards” of the dwarves pass down tales to their progeny and kin of the wonders created by the Xothol of Ammarindar, the Sevenhammer Forge of Ironstar Mountain or the Flame Vault of the Iron Tower. With the passing of the great dwarven kingdoms, most of these secrets of the forge are lost to the ages although rumors persist of hidden enclaves of dwarves toiling away in deep mountain caverns, undersea tunnels or isolated frosty peaks to create wondrous magic.
